Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatrist to join our team as a Medical Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical services to individuals receiving Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) services, including medication prescription, administration, monitoring, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical services to SPMI clients receiving ACT services
  • Direct psychopharmacological and medical services
  • Service coordination, including working with the ACT team to monitor each individual's clinical status and response to treatment
  • Symptom assessment and management/crisis assessment and intervention
  • Individual counseling and psychotherapy, substance use treatment
  • Support services or direct assistance to ensure that individuals obtain the basic necessities of daily life and consultation to individuals' families and other major supports
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine
  • Experience with the population served
  • Successful participation in the DMH-approved ACTT training
  • NVCI certification
  • Training in population served and client rights/confidentiality
