As a vital part of our organization, the Operations Support Manager will play a key role in assisting with the management of club operations, ensuring that every member enjoys a welcoming and supportive environment. This position will collaborate closely with the Club Manager to cultivate a positive team culture and drive the financial success of the club.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of a high-performing team, including Member Service Representatives, Trainers, and Custodians.

• Help maintain a friendly atmosphere for all members and guests, ensuring that the team adheres to outstanding customer service standards.

• Provide support in staff management and serve as a backup to the Club Manager when necessary.

  • Assist in scheduling and supervising staff to guarantee all shifts are adequately covered.
  • Ensure that the team consistently delivers exceptional customer service.
  • Support in addressing or escalating employee concerns as needed.
  • Assist with the administration of weekly employee payroll.
  • Provide backup support for absent employees.

• Lead by example in all front desk operations.
  • Welcome members and guests, ensuring they receive outstanding service.
  • Answer phone calls courteously and assist with various inquiries.
  • Check members into the system, conduct tours, sign up new members, and communicate updates or events.
  • Address member requests and resolve any issues or questions.

• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the club.
  • Ensure the front desk area and lobby are tidy and organized.
  • Participate in regular cleaning and maintenance tasks, such as mopping spills and removing trash.
  • Help ensure the safety of employees and members by reporting equipment or facility issues promptly.

• Support in the procurement of supplies while adhering to the club's budget.

• Assist in tracking and reporting various statistics on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

• Manage marketing initiatives to ensure staff are informed and trained on promotions.

• Handle daily bank deposits as required.

• Perform other duties as assigned based on club needs.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED.

• A minimum of one year of customer service experience, preferably in a gym or retail setting.

• Current CPR Certification is required.

• Basic proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Suite) and the ability to quickly learn new systems.

• Strong supervisory, communication, and listening skills.

• Energetic, hardworking, and passionate about health and fitness.

• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.

Physical Requirements:

• Continuous standing and walking during shifts.

• Frequent communication in person and over the phone.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals.
