Medical Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical team in delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, performing medical procedures, and assisting with exams.
  • Prepare patients for exams, obtain medical histories, and document patient information.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and handling customer transactions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and test results.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Medical Assistant (NCMA or CCMA) preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in a medical setting, preferably as a Medical Assistant.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Windows navigation and MS Office software applications.
