Medical Assistant Job Description

CareNow is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking vital signs and obtaining medical histories.
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient care, including administering injections and performing lab tests.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and test results.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
Requirements:
  • 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting, preferably in urgent care or a similar environment.
  • Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems, preferably in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assisting or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
  • Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is highly desirable.
