Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Banquet Manager to join our team at Westin Dallas Downtown. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of banquets and events, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Supervise and train a team of staff to ensure excellent service delivery and high-quality results.
  • Event Planning and Execution: Assist in the planning and execution of banquets and events, ensuring that all details are attended to and that events run smoothly.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their needs and ensuring that their expectations are met.
  • Staff Management: Manage staff schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching and development opportunities to staff.
  • Financial Management: Assist in the management of banquet budgets, ensuring that expenses are controlled and that revenue targets are met.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and maintain high standards of quality in all aspects of banquet operations, including food, beverage, and service.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Hotel experience preferred; knowledge of hotel operations and management principles.
  • Skills: Leadership and management skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines.
