About the Role

This part-time Academic Support Specialist position is funded by Project MOST and is responsible for assisting students with disabilities at Southwest.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's Degree and experience working with students with disabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Part-Time Advocate: Provide daily support to students with disabilities, including notetaking, scribing, reading exams, and planning activities with the LEAD organization.
  • Maintain Student Records: Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of students' progress and concerns.
  • Communicate Effectively: Maintain regular communication with students, staff, and faculty, demonstrating empathy and resourcefulness.
  • Travel Requirements: Reliable transportation to travel to all campuses/centers as needed.

Salary Information: $25-$30 per hour (estimated annual salary: $52,000-$62,000)
