Job Overview

Position: Field Service Technician

Compensation: $25-35/hr.

Role Summary:

  • The Field Service Technician will execute tasks both in-house and at client locations, adhering to specified quality standards and customer directives.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma is mandatory.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a workshop or similar environment.
  • Experience in repairing and servicing electrical and mechanical equipment is essential.
  • Candidates should have a solid understanding of at least one of the key areas outlined in the responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with computer software and SAGE is advantageous.
  • The role requires a diligent, detail-oriented individual who is willing to work overtime and weekends as necessary to fulfill operational demands.
  • Team collaboration skills are preferred, as many projects involve cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in various tasks, including but not limited to:
    • Field Testing
    • Mechanical Maintenance of AC Motors
    • Electrical Maintenance of DC Motors
    • Overhead Crane Inspections and Maintenance
    • Control Troubleshooting and Installation
    • AC/DC Drives
    • Predictive Maintenance (including Vibration Analysis, Thermography, Oil Analysis)
    • Breaker Service and Repair
    • Mechanical Repair (Turbine, Gearbox, Pump)
    • Compressor Service and Repair
  • Possess knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Be prepared to work overtime and weekends to meet workload demands.
  • Travel to client sites as required to complete assignments.
  • Under the guidance of a Manager or Supervisor, receive training in additional areas of expertise.
  • Assist in onboarding new technicians unfamiliar with the operational processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and quality standards during task execution.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Exhibit professionalism in all interactions with clients and vendors.
  • Adhere to quality, safety, and environmental regulations, reporting any discrepancies.
  • Support special projects as directed by the Operations Manager, which may evolve into primary responsibilities.
  • Encourage continuous improvement initiatives, including employee suggestions and procedural enhancements.
