The Lube and Tire Specialist at Mr. Tire Auto Service Centers, also known as a General Service Technician, is an introductory role in the automotive field, providing an excellent opportunity to kickstart your career.
From day one, you will engage in a thorough training program designed to cover all facets of your responsibilities. As a General Service Technician, you will play a vital role in performing maintenance services on customer vehicles.Your contributions will be essential in ensuring our clients receive exceptional service, while utilizing your technical skills to care for their vehicles and guarantee safe, dependable transportation.
The hourly pay for this position ranges from minimum wage to $18.18, with opportunities for additional compensation and incentives based on your experience level.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanic tasks including changing, mounting, and installing tires.
- Execute wheel removal, tire repair, and balancing, as well as tire patching and plugging.
- Conduct quick lube services such as lubrication and oil changes.
- Inspect and rotate tires as needed.
- Carry out basic automotive maintenance tasks, including battery installations.
- Receive training to perform alignments, brake services, and scheduled maintenance.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience in the automotive field.
- Possession of a basic set of mechanic tools or participation in a tool purchase program.
- Valid driver's license.
- A positive attitude and collaborative approach.
- Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience as an Automotive Technician or in Lube and Tire services.
