Job Summary

Care Resource is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Referrals and Medical Records Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing referrals, medical records, and administrative tasks to ensure seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage referrals and medical records, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Coordinate appointments and communicate with patients, providers, and insurance companies
  • Update patient demographic information and maintain accurate records
  • Process and verify insurance information, authorizations, and denials
  • Assist with quality assurance and compliance initiatives
  • Ensure a clean and tidy medical office environment
  • Participate in health center developmental activities and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in medical records, referrals, or a related field
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office
Work Environment

This role requires constant sitting, hearing, visual acuity, and talking in person and on the phone. Frequent walking, standing, and bending are also required. Work is performed in-office and laboratory settings.
