Horizon Services is seeking skilled and professional residential electrical service technicians dedicated to enhancing the safety and comfort of our clients. The primary role of the Electrical Service Technician involves performing general electrical repairs and services for our customers in their homes. This position requires handling service calls and utilizing customer service expertise to guide clients in selecting appropriate services, products, and financing options. Availability for some evenings and weekends is necessary.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose, troubleshoot, install, and repair electrical systems in residential settings.
- Deliver exceptional customer service.
- Ensure proper inventory of stock, tools, and safety equipment in the service vehicle.
- Travel to various job sites within the service area, coordinating with dispatch to maintain the schedule and communicate any delays to customers.
- Secure customer approval/signature for payment or financing upon job completion.
- Achieve set performance targets and sales objectives.
- Assist clients in evaluating options for repair versus replacement.
- Facilitate and schedule consultations for replacements as necessary.
- Meet or exceed established performance standards.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrician.
- Possession of an NC Limited or Unlimited License.
- At least 2 years of experience in residential electrical work is required.
- Management experience is preferred.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
- Experience in residential service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with local electrical codes and their practical application on job sites.
- Ability to collaborate with inspectors, suppliers, and colleagues to ensure compliance with all codes.
- Capability to create simple diagrams and interpret blueprints and other schematics.
- Must hold and maintain a valid and clean driver's license.
- Willingness to work overtime and be available for on-call shifts as required.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Potential to earn over $100,000 annually.
