Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Technician to join our team at L. J. Electrical Co. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment and systems in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment and systems, including motors, generators, and control panels.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues using a variety of tools and testing equipment, including ohmmeters and multimeters.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Install, test, and maintain industrial electrical systems, including distributed control systems.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with industry safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and maintenance personnel to resolve complex electrical issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company safety and quality standards.
  • Perform work with an emphasis on efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience in maintenance or as an service electrician.
  • Strong understanding of electrical principles, including circuit analysis and electrical code compliance.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Proven track record of providing excellent customer service.
  • Dependable and on time.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, crawl, work overhead, work on aerial lift, climb ladders or scaffolding, work in extreme temperatures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.

Work Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
