In this position, you will engage with potential travelers at various travel agencies across North America, delivering informative and entertaining presentations about our Alaska cruise offerings. Your efforts will be crucial in generating interest and awareness about our unique travel experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging scripted presentations about Alaska cruises to prospective travelers at local travel agencies, enhancing awareness through education and entertainment.
  • Manage sound and audio-visual equipment, ensuring proper setup and breakdown before and after presentations.
  • Facilitate pre and post-presentation receptions to foster relationships with travel agents and address inquiries.
  • Complete necessary reporting and documentation following each event.
  • Maintain communication with agency contacts to assist with event promotion and confirm details prior to presentations.
  • Organize travel logistics for the team, including flights, rental vehicles, and accommodations.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Exceptional presentation and entertainment skills, both in-person and virtually.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Familiarity with Alaska and related travel programs is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel and ability to rent a vehicle.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to take initiative and follow directions.
  • At least one year of experience in the travel agency or cruise industry is preferred.
  • Strong guest relations and sales abilities are advantageous.
