Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at Talent Consulting Experts. As a Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing innovative water and wastewater systems that improve public health and drive environmental sustainability.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in wastewater treatment design, hydraulic modeling, and stormwater management. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver cutting-edge projects that adhere to EPA standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wastewater Treatment Design and Engineering: Spearhead the design of wastewater treatment plants, sanitary sewer systems, and pump stations, ensuring compliance with EPA standards and local regulations.
  • Hydraulic Modeling and Analysis: Develop and calibrate hydraulic models for wastewater systems using tools like EPANET, WaterCAD, and GIS.
  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work with project managers, environmental engineers, and construction teams to deliver innovative water infrastructure solutions.
  • Field Support and Site Visits: Perform site visits to monitor project installations and resolve on-site engineering issues, ensuring design fidelity and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in wastewater treatment design, sewer transport systems, hydraulic modeling, and pump station design.
  • Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland required, or the ability to obtain licensure within the first year.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, EPANET, WaterCAD, GIS, and other hydraulic modeling software.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior engineers and work across multidisciplinary teams.
