Our client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. As a mechanical design engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing new products and enhancing existing ones. What you will do:

  • Review customer specifications to identify engineering requirements, including accessorier
  • Prepare mechanical designs using 3D CAD software
  • Create general arrangement drawings for customer review
  • Engage in design reviews and technical discussions with customers to explain and resolve technical matter
  • Perform structural and industrial ventilation calculations
  • Generate bill of materials (BOMs) and bill of routine
  • Produce manufacturing technical drawings for production
  • Research and develop solutions for improving current product lines
  • Specify system components or direct product modifications
  • Ensure designs adhere to engineering standards and agreed-upon specifications
  • Provide manufacturing support and assistance for product and prototype builds
  • Assist with machinery assembly when necessary
  • Offer design and technical guidance to other engineering team members
  • Foster a workplace environment that aligns with our company's values, culture, and goals
  • Collaborate effectively with safety, quality, and leadership teams
  • Utilize the Plan-Do-Check-Act model to drive organizational objectives



Additional Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required (Mechanical or Electrical or Automation Engineering preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in LEAN manufacturing is preferred
  • Experience working with Complex Equipment

Systems and Process to Know:

  • Structural Design (Material Selection, Metallurgical and Mechanical Properties of Materials, Assembly Methods, Door Design, Sealing / Gasket Design, etc.
  • Design for X (Manufacturability, Quality, Cost, Service, etc.
  • Fluid Control (Water Filtration, Steam Generation, Humidity Control
  • Component Selection and Sizing (Motors, Gears, Belts, Fan Curve, etc.
