We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to support our litigation team with trial preparation, document management, legal research, and case management across a range of complex cases.
Key Responsibilities- Assist attorneys in all phases of the litigation process, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Manage and organize case files, including maintaining electronic and paper files, reviewing documents for accuracy, and preparing them for trial.
- Conduct legal research, analyze legal documents, and prepare reports summarizing findings.
- Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and experts to facilitate case progression.
- Assist in the collection and organization of evidence, including document production and management of exhibits.
- Prepare and organize materials for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Track case deadlines and ensure compliance with court requirements and firm policies.
- Support attorneys with trial preparation, including preparing trial binders, exhibits, and witness lists.
- Monitor and manage docket schedules, court filings, and case calendars.
- Attend hearings and trials when required, and provide on-site support to attorneys.
- Work collaboratively with the litigation team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in a law firm.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state court rules and procedures.
- Proficiency in legal research platforms (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw) and legal case management software.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with eDiscovery platforms and electronic document management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with trial preparation in high-stakes litigation.
- Familiarity with insurance regulatory law and governmental consulting.
- Knowledge of complex litigation matters, such as class actions, product liability, or commercial disputes.
