Position Overview

WSP is seeking a dedicated Site Investigation and Remediation (SIR) Service Line Leader to enhance our environmental team. This role requires a dynamic individual with proven experience in managing teams, developing business opportunities, and overseeing client relationships while ensuring successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise SIR personnel and project teams on environmental initiatives, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Oversee projects related to site evaluation, remedial strategies, and environmental adherence, guaranteeing that all objectives, timelines, and financial plans are met.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with key clients and stakeholders to facilitate seamless project workflows and deliver exceptional consultancy services.
  • Drive business development efforts to identify and cultivate new client relationships, leveraging networking opportunities both internally and externally.
  • Conduct technical assessments for projects to ensure alignment with environmental legislation, company policies, and contractual obligations.
  • Travel to various project locations primarily within the region, with occasional trips to neighboring states, ensuring minimal overnight stays.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior team members, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing.
  • Engage in collaborative discussions with team members to enhance project outcomes and innovation.
  • Oversee proposal development, incorporating creative technical solutions and competitive pricing strategies, while preparing and delivering client presentations.
  • Uphold ethical standards in decision-making concerning company resources and conduct, adhering to WSP's Code of Conduct.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification in the state of New Mexico is preferred.
  • A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in the environmental consulting field.
  • Extensive background in providing environmental services across various sectors, including Government, Industrial, Mining, Oil & Gas, Energy, and Transportation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in navigating Federal, State, and Local environmental regulations, along with practical experience in field investigations.
  • Proven project management skills, including oversight of deliverables, timelines, and budgets, with strong communication abilities.
  • Experience in business development and a track record of building and maintaining robust client relationships.
  • Proficient in standard software applications, including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites primarily within the region, with minimal overnight travel required.
  • Must pass a background check and possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
