Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Host/Hostess to join our team at Southall Farm and Inn. As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and setting the tone for a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Welcome and Seating
    • Welcome and escort guests to their table, presenting menus and ensuring all guests are comfortable
  • Service Standards
    • Review and maintain station charts and cover counts to ensure proper timing of service with guests
    • Anticipate the needs of guests, respond accordingly to guest inquiries or problems, and recognize regular guests by name and utilize the guest's name consistently
  • Menu Knowledge and Quality
    • Inspect and maintain daily menus to ensure quality, condition, and appearance while developing a complete working knowledge of all menu items and daily specials
  • Team Support
    • Complete special projects (menu changes, signage, etc.) as instructed
    • Assist with responsibilities and duties in other areas due to heavy volume in areas of Food & Beverage when needed
Requirements
  • Customer Service Experience
    • Previous experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Team Player
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Organizational and Communication Skills
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of organization in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to Detail
    • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining high standards of quality
  • Availability
    • Availability to work weekends, evenings, and/or holidays, as required
