Position summary: In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing professional mental health service programs of a non-medical nature in accordance with MTC Medical and customer directives.

Essential responsibilities:

Design and implement therapeutic and treatment programs for assigned clients. Assume independent clinical responsibility for all clients, utilizing crisis intervention techniques including suicide prevention and recognizing abnormal behavior to take appropriate action. Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess client needs, establish goals, and develop treatment plans; refer clients to contract professionals for further assessment and treatment. Provide direct casework services and conduct individual and group counseling sessions. Prepare progress reports and recommendations regarding treatment plans; assist administrative and medical staff in compiling statistical reports on assigned clients. Ensure confidentiality of client information and audit files to confirm that all services are documented; review client status to ensure completion of treatment and therapeutic programs. Screen requests for non-medical records and approve or deny responses in accordance with policies and procedures. Participate in scheduled staff meetings to promote effective communication and information flow among administration, staff, and clients. Attend required seminars, workshops, and conferences. Participate in an on-call rotation with other mental health providers to offer after-hours and weekend client care, if necessary. Encourage the development of positive social skills by modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when necessary.

Education and experience requirements:

A Master's degree in counseling or a related field is required. Must hold a current license as a licensed professional counselor (LPC), licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), psychologist, psychiatrist, registered nurse (RN), or nurse practitioner (NP), or possess another applicable license as defined by the governing state agency. A minimum of two years of relevant experience is preferred. A valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record is required, unless waived by management. Current CPR certification is necessary. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and pass a background check.
