Caregiver (Koreatown) - Personal Care Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Caregiver to provide direct personal care and related services to clients in their place of residence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, hair care, skin care, and oral care.
- Assist clients with transfers, such as getting in-and-out of bed, and assist with ambulation.
- Assist with prescribed exercises as taught by appropriate health personnel.
- Assist with the preparation of meals, including therapeutic diets, and assist clients with eating.
- Assist clients with toileting, going to the bathroom, or using commodes, bedpans, or urinals.
- Assist clients with medications that are self-administered by the client.
- Perform other activities taught by a health professional for a specific patient, such as taking vital signs and non-sterile bowel and bladder hygiene care.
- Monitor client activities, food intake, and report changes in the client's condition and needs to the Respite Care Manager.
- Complete progress records and time-keeping logs regarding services performed.
- Perform all assigned personal care services.
- Perform simple household procedures essential to maintenance of proper health care at home, such as disposal of infectious secretions, cleaning of soiled linen, proper disposal of food, and light housekeeping.
- Accompany clients as needed to medical appointments and assist with activities of daily living.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client and agency information at all times.
- Utilize client equipment and supplies safely, efficiently, and effectively.
- Conform to all agency policies and procedures.
- Maintain a comfortable work environment for all employees.
- Maintain proper time-keeping.
- Follow policies and procedures as per the Employee Handbook.
- Maintain all required credentials up-to-date.
- Report fraud and abuse.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting.
- Conduct timely recording and/or documentation of all client contact.
- Attend department meetings (in person, by phone, or by web).
- Attend all state-mandated in-service trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
