About the Role
We offer an attractive estimated annual salary of $40,000-$60,000, depending on experience, to provide personalized care and support to our residents. As a Personal Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing daily living assistance, mobility support, and medication administration under the guidance of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting; provide mobility assistance and transfer residents as needed.
- Companionship: Foster meaningful relationships with residents through engaging conversations and companionship; plan and participate in recreational activities to promote socialization and mental stimulation.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition to the nursing staff; assist in monitoring vital signs and overall health status; administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals and document accurately in residents' records.
- Meal Assistance: Support residents during meal times, ensuring dietary preferences and restrictions are adhered to; assist with feeding as necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a caregiver in an assisted living or similar setting.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or relevant certification preferred.
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards seniors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and professionalism.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification.
- Understanding of proper lifting and caregiving techniques.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and situations in a fast-paced environment.
- Caregivers must be reliable and punctual.
