Product Manager - E-commerce Strategy

At Whisker, we're seeking a seasoned Product Manager to lead our e-commerce strategy and drive growth. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive e-commerce roadmap that aligns with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the e-commerce roadmap strategy, focusing on driving sales, improving conversion rates, and enhancing customer experience.
  • Partner with the Brand team to execute the brand vision digitally across our e-commerce platform.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize the e-commerce website, including user experience enhancements, navigation improvements, and mobile optimization.
  • Implement a Conversion Rate Optimization framework to continuously improve website performance and increase conversion rates through A/B testing, user feedback analysis, and data-driven insights.
  • Champion customer experience by implementing e-commerce best practices, ensuring an intuitive shopping journey from browse to purchase, and collaborating with logistics, supply, and customer service teams to enhance delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with the Site Merchandising Lead to develop and execute site merchandising strategies, including product assortment, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns.
  • Create business cases around new projects with assessments of impact vs effort.
  • Organize a pipeline of roadmap projects with a prioritization model to ensure the appropriate allocation of development and design resources.
  • Conduct 'build vs. buy' analysis as needed to evaluate long-term solutions, such as content management systems and other e-commerce platform integrations.
  • Partner with development squads to implement scalable solutions that support e-commerce growth objectives.
  • Define and implement processes where necessary to ensure on-time delivery, clear prioritization, and efficient collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • Align on communication and workflow optimization with project management across development and design teams.
  • Work closely with marketing, product, design, and engineering teams to align on e-commerce initiatives and drive cross-functional projects to completion, serving as a liaison to gather and document detailed business requirements.
  • Utilize data analytics tools and platforms to track and analyze e-commerce performance metrics, identifies trends, and uncovers actionable insights to inform decision-making.
  • Oversee the integration of marketing technology platforms, such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and other third-party tools, to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of e-commerce performance.

Requirements:

  • BA in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in e-commerce, product management, or related roles, preferably in the consumer goods or retail industry
  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) to ensure alignment across each life cycle phase, from scoping business requirements to organizing development sprints
  • Proficiency with operating and scaling e-commerce platforms (i.e. Adobe Commerce or Magento)
  • Proven track record of driving growth and optimizing conversion rates in e-commerce environments
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Experience with A/B testing, CRO methodologies, and web analytics tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Passion for pets and understanding of pet owners' needs and preferences is a plus
