About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Mechanic III to join our team at Sierra Nevada Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the repair, replacement, and maintenance of aircraft components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs, replacements, and maintenance of aircraft components
  • Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft systems and components
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with aircraft systems and components
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment to perform repairs and maintenance
  • Ensure all work is compliant with national and international standards
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Active FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification
  • Reliable transportation to and from work locations
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical schematics and diagrams
  • Experience using tooling and fixtures for depot-level modification and repair
  • Knowledge of aircraft-specific tools and equipment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience
  • Ability to travel regularly and/or work different shifts
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
  • Experience on wide-body aircraft
  • Proficient in basic computer operation
