Job Description

Orion Group Holdings is seeking a talented Project Engineer to join our team in New Orleans, LA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing project engineering support to our team, including developing bid packages for subcontractors, calculating project costs, selecting suppliers, procuring materials and services, interpreting project plans, scheduling project work activities, providing project oversight, and interfacing with project personnel.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and administration, marine construction, materials procurement, estimating, scheduling, project tracking software, cost control, engineering and project standards, and safety and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project plans and schedules
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure successful project completion
  • Monitor and control project costs and resources
  • Procure materials and services from suppliers
  • Interpret project plans and specifications
  • Provide project oversight and support to project teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in project management and administration
  • Strong knowledge of project management software and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
