Job Description

The Steel Project Manager at RNGD Prefab is a critical role in leading, directing, and coordinating all aspects of our projects from inception through closeout. This position requires a deep understanding of large-scale steel construction projects, ensuring they meet or exceed our profit objectives and uphold the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, management of owner billings, and overall project lifecycle to meet targets in safety, budget, schedule, and quality control.
  • Drive cost efficiencies and uphold operational excellence through continuous process improvement and adoption of innovative technologies.
  • Develop comprehensive project understanding through detailed immersion into project documents and specifications.
  • Manage and enforce contracts, ensuring all contractual obligations are met while mitigating risks.
  • Facilitate effective meetings and ensure optimal coordination between all parties involved.
  • Champion the development and retention of a high-performance project team, providing leadership and direction to enhance capabilities and promote our core values.
  • Proactively manage client, employee, and trade partner experiences, ensuring exceptional relationship building and communication throughout the project.
  • Implement and lead quality control plans, ensuring compliance and excellence in every aspect of the project.
  • Participate actively in industry associations, representing RNGD Prefab at a high level within the professional community.
  • Utilize enabling technologies and innovative workflows to streamline project execution and reporting.
  • Promote and enhance AISC compliance, culture, and network.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the commercial construction industry, specifically with extensive experience managing large-scale structural and miscellaneous steel projects.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to contribute to a growing operation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with all project stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction management processes, including forecasting, cost management, scheduling, estimating, and purchasing.
  • Ability to travel as needed to project sites throughout Louisiana and potentially beyond.
  • Proficient in reading, understanding, and interpreting complex contract documents and technical specifications.
