About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Prepare patients for ultrasound tests, explain procedures, and respond to questions in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Ultrasound Procedures: Perform ultrasound tests, including cardiac examinations, in accordance with department protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, documenting relevant information and advising nursing staff of any significant changes in patient condition.
  • Collaboration: Act as a liaison between patients and physicians, providing support and assistance as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited diagnostic ultrasound/echo sonography program.
  • Experience: One year of post-graduate experience in cardiac ultrasound or demonstrated high degree of proficiency in the field of diagnostics or ultrasound.
  • Certifications: Current registration by ARDMS or current certification by Cardiovascular Credentialing International as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
  • Licensure: Current healthcare provider BLS Certification.
