Job OverviewWe are seeking a qualified Temporary Part-Time Instructor in Physical Education and Sports to teach lower division classes in various courses or topics at our Gallup Branch campus.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of their assigned classes, including content delivery, assignment development, grading, reporting of grades, and assessment of student learning.
This position is contingent upon need each semester and may be filled or eliminated based on student enrollment levels, current course offerings, and demand driven by graduation requirements.
Responsibilities- Teach lower division classes in physical education and sports
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
- Assess student learning and report grades
- Meet with students during assigned times, including evenings and weekends
- Master's degree in Physical Education or related field
- Two years documented teaching experience
- Standard First Aid and CPR certificates
- Verifiable years of experience participating or competing at an advanced level in a physical activity may be substituted for years of teaching
- Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education
- College teaching experience
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success
Adjunct faculty are compensated on a per-credit hour basis, with rates varying depending on credentials and experience. The estimated salary for this position is $1,100.94-$1,017.60 per credit hour.
