Job Summary

Research Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse Cardiac Prep and Recovery to join our team. As a key member of our cardiovascular services team, you will provide direct patient care to adult patients undergoing cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for and recover patients after cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures
  • Administer medications and perform procedural documentation for all patients
  • Administer conscious sedation to patients undergoing transesophageal echo procedures and monitor patients undergoing cardiac stress tests, tilt table tests, and cardioversions
  • Communicate with physicians and patient families as needed about patient condition
  • Assist with maintenance of equipment and inventory
  • Participate in departmental performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current state of Missouri RN licensure
  • Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Prior medical-surgical experience preferred
