Position Summary
We are seeking a Hydrogen Safety Operations Leader to oversee safety protocols and ensure compliance in plant development projects within our hydrogen division. This role is pivotal in implementing safety management systems that adhere to industry regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate a comprehensive Process Safety Management (PSM) Program tailored for our key clients.
- Engage directly with clients to communicate technical requirements and project deliverables effectively.
- Provide training and ensure operational quality and efficiency across projects.
- Create and implement PSM procedures specific to client sites.
- Manage multiple PSM Program implementation projects concurrently.
- Establish and enforce Process Safety Management policies and programs.
- Assist in all facets of the program, focusing on Process Safety Information, Management of Change, and Pre-Startup Safety Review, ensuring compliance with PSM and RMP regulations.
- Conduct training sessions for both internal and external personnel on PSM Program elements.
- Support clients during regulatory inspections.
- Implement best practices and resources to enhance customer experience and maintain strong client relationships.
- Define strategic agendas and objectives for departmental growth.
- Research innovative approaches to remain competitive and effective.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, demonstrating a commitment to service excellence.
- Provide consulting on general process safety and risk management programs.
- Prepare detailed technical reports as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred).
- A minimum of five years of experience related to Process Safety Management.
- At least one year of experience in personnel and project management.
- Proficient in interpreting process and mechanical drawings (PFD, MFD, P&ID).
- Strong knowledge of OSHA Process Safety Management and EPA Risk Management Plan regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong customer service orientation.
- Proven ability to design and implement training and development programs.
- Outstanding organizational and project management capabilities.
- Ability to engage and foster relationships at all organizational levels.
- Must have the unrestricted right to work in the United States.
