About the Role:

The Surgical Services Associate Manager is a key member of the Sourcerers Staffing & Consulting team, responsible for providing support and assistance to the Manager for the daily operations of surgical services. This includes the Operating Room (OR), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Labor and Delivery (L&D), Cardiovascular Laboratory (CVL), and Gastrointestinal (GI) departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unit Operations Management: Assist the Manager in maintaining a process of identifying, evaluating, and implementing cost structure improvements to develop a basis for assessing overall cost effectiveness in units.
  • Personnel Management: Assist with recruitment and hiring of staff, provide leadership and direction in support of the organization and department goals and objectives, conduct performance appraisals, counsel employees, and act on disciplinary problems.
  • Quality Assurance/Improvement: Develop and update policies, procedures, and standards of care for the units, monitor compliance with those standards, supervise and assist in the delivery of patient care, and develop and achieve departmental goals and objectives in support of Surgical Services.
  • Inter-Departmental and Intra-Departmental Problem Resolution: Coordinate and lead staff and UBT meetings, serve as a resource to other departments in the area of specialty, and assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum three (3) years of RN clinical experience in OR and/or PACU, L&D, CVL, GI.
  • Minimum two (2) years of demonstrated staff leadership or advance nursing practice role.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided).
  • Basic Life Support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum five (5) years of demonstrated knowledge in Surgical Services area of clinical experience.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • CNOR.
  • Bachelors degree in nursing or related field.
