About the Position

We estimate this position will be compensated at around $55,000 - $65,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. As an ASL Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring clear communication and understanding between our clients and their caregivers.

Responsibilities
  • Interpretation Services: Provide expert interpretation services to translate spoken language into ASL and vice versa, facilitating effective communication.
  • Medical Support: Collaborate with medical professionals to directly communicate with clients using ASL.
  • Expression and Understanding: Assist clients in expressing their needs, thoughts, and feelings to caregivers, while also helping them comprehend instructions and interactions in their environment.
  • Inclusive Environment: Foster a supportive atmosphere that promotes open communication and improves the overall quality of life for our clients.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in ASL: A strong foundation in ASL is essential for this role, as well as previous experience working with individuals with hearing impairments and developmental disabilities.
