About the Role:

Support Broker Services, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) to support an individual with hearing impairment and developmental disabilities in effectively communicating with his support team.

The selected candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring clear communication and understanding between the individual and his caregivers. This position requires strong interpretation skills, medical support expertise, and effective expression of needs and thoughts.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpretation: Translate spoken language into ASL and vice versa to facilitate effective communication.
  • Medical Support: Aid the individual's medical team in directly communicating with him using ASL.
  • Expression: Assist the individual in expressing his needs, thoughts, and feelings to caregivers.
  • Understanding: Help the individual comprehend instructions and interactions in his environment.
  • Inclusive Environment: Foster a supportive atmosphere that improves communication for the individual.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in ASL is a must.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with hearing impairments and developmental disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated compassion, patience, and empathy in caregiving.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team.

About Support Broker Services LLC:

We are a trusted long-term care vendor based in Wisconsin, dedicated to providing personalized support services to individuals in need. Our primary role is to assist individuals receiving Medicaid benefits in managing their long-term care services and supports effectively.

Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience
