We are in search of a dedicated, team-oriented, and proficient manager with a background in conferences, events, or trade shows to become a part of the Exhibit Operations team.

This role will oversee a group of associates to ensure the successful delivery of exhibits and sponsorships within Gartner's B2B conference offerings.

Key performance indicators for this position include retention of exhibits and sponsorships, growth in revenue from these areas, and maintaining high levels of associate satisfaction and retention.

The manager will be accountable for the creation and oversight of global exhibitor products across various B2B conferences.

Major Areas of Influence:
Management of exhibit/sponsorship product delivery and inventory
Formulate strategies to enhance engagement between conference participants and exhibitors
Collaborate on strategic initiatives and identify key projects with leadership
Improve financial forecasting to support scalability and profit margin enhancement
Foster positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

Primary Responsibilities


Supervise all facets of sponsorship delivery and the conference planning process for Gartner's premier portfolio of conferences.

Motivate and lead a rapidly growing and diverse global team, emphasizing continuous feedback and coaching.

Engage and collaborate with essential partners and team members (both internal and external) to guarantee successful execution; build and sustain strong relationships based on trust.

Devise and implement strategies for attendee and exhibitor interaction, generating meaningful engagements for both parties. Establish KPIs and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of implemented strategies.

Effectively manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts with select vendors that support conference delivery, focusing on cost reduction to enhance margins.

Continuously innovate processes and procedures related to conference delivery to create efficiencies and improve outcomes.
Oversee product inventory and projection modeling for various exhibit and sponsorship offerings. Develop and maintain product strategies aimed at maximizing revenue.
Conduct risk assessments for various components of exhibitor products based on market demand fluctuations or capacity changes.
Collaborate with the Exhibit Operations leadership team on projects by providing insights and maximizing output to scale the business.

Analyze data to formulate metrics-driven strategies for exhibitor retention and attendee engagement, determining the best course of action for various conference elements.

Serve as the onsite lead for in-person delivery at conferences, managing the production schedule, conference staff, and liaising with agency partners and vendors.

Expected Outcomes

Develop a thorough understanding of Gartner's business, including the value proposition for both attendees and exhibitors.
Become knowledgeable about Gartner's exhibitor products, pricing strategies, and conference financials.
Achieve operational excellence, executing conferences punctually, within budget, and with meticulous attention to detail.
Establish yourself as a respected leader and mentor within Gartner, building a strong personal brand reputation.

Qualifications

5-7 years of experience in Event Management, Tradeshow Management, Event Marketing, and/or Experiential Marketing
Proven track record of creating or fulfilling revenue-generating sponsorship products in complex live-event settings
Experience in project management on detailed programs with multiple variables and dependencies
Demonstrated ability to enhance business processes, resulting in increased efficiency and productivity
Proven experience in team management and talent development
Strong people management and leadership skills, with a commitment to a collaborative work environment
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, particularly with senior-level professionals, cross-functionally, and with agency partners
Creative, innovative, and strategic thinker with a keen attention to detail
Ability to adapt, implement, manage change, and pursue continuous improvement
Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience presenting to audiences to motivate or persuade
Proficient in finance and budget management
Enthusiastic team player with a desire for personal and professional growth
Ability to excel in high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines

Gartner is committed to fair and equitable compensation. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 68,400 USD - 107,000 USD.

Actual salaries may vary within this range, or be above or below it, based on factors such as education, training, experience, professional achievements, business needs, and location.

In addition to base salary, employees may participate in an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.

Our talent acquisition team will provide specific details regarding bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates.
