As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance department and recycle crew operations, ensuring the efficient and quality operation of our physical plants.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee construction and repair projects, acting as a Project Manager to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
- Plan, direct, and supervise the day-to-day operations and activities of the maintenance department, assessing workload and providing suggestions for improvement.
- Provide guidance on coordination of maintenance department workload and disbursement of work assignments.
- Oversee activities of the recycle crew, ensuring compliance with safety and quality practices and procedures.
- Monitor regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to Biosecurity and Safety policies.
- Research and recommend the capital improvement budget for the maintenance area.
- Coordinate purchasing and contractor services for maintenance operations with the Production Manager.
- Represent the company at town meetings in support of projects and/or facilities-related items.
- Prepare informal reports for management review and approval as assigned.
- Respond to emergencies as needed, ensuring continuous operation of critical systems.
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.).
- Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Engineering or related discipline preferred.
- Five years related experience, preferably in engineering or construction trades.
- Licensure in one or more trades preferred.
