Key Responsibilities
  • Support interdisciplinary teams to ensure electronics are hardened against the effects of space radiation.
  • Drive intelligent system design, part selection, subcontracts, and analyses.
  • Analyze the impacts of space radiation environments on components and systems.
  • Assess system-level radiation risk considering fault tolerance, spacecraft design, redundancy, and single event effects criticality analysis.
  • Derive and apply radiation mitigation techniques (filtering, EDAC, current limiting, etc.) to prevent disruption of system performance for space missions.
Requirements
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Nuclear Science, or related field with 5+ years of job-related experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and create electrical schematics and system diagrams.
  • Experience hardening and verifying performance of electrical designs against space radiation effects (total ionizing dose, displacement damage dose, single event effects).
