The Staff Development Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the highest degree of quality resident care at Santa Fe Care Center Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing all in-service education programs throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement an effective training program for new hires and existing staff.
- Administer and manage Hepatitis B vaccinations and PPD annual checks.
- Provide expert knowledge of basic nursing skills, including patient assessment, infection control, IV therapy, and medication administration.
- Work closely with the HR manager to provide new hire orientation.
- Evaluate educational needs to ensure ongoing continuing education and adherence to applicable required in-service education for all staff.
- Identify, assess, and implement in-service programs as needed regarding the satisfactory performance of clinical skills and knowledge.
- Ensure all required in-service training for Certified Nursing Assistants (C.N.A) is complete and that in-services training is sufficient to ensure the continuing competency of nurse aides.
- Serve as Infection Control Nurse, reporting infection control practices to the Infection Control Officer and Administrator.
Qualified candidates must be a licensed RN/LPN with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a nurse and clinical training experience.
