Position Overview

Koa Restoration & Maintenance is seeking dedicated Guest Room Cleaners to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of hotel guest accommodations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Introduce yourself upon entering the guest room.
  • Perform thorough cleaning for departing guests.
  • Dispose of waste materials.
  • Strip soiled linens and pillowcases.
  • Remove all used towels and bath mats.
  • Replace shower curtains and mats as needed.
  • Utilize cleaning agents to scrub and sanitize bathroom surfaces, including walls, floors, and fixtures such as light switches, showerheads, toilets, and sinks.
  • Polish mirrors using microfiber cloths.
  • Dust all furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Clear and clean out drawers.
  • Make beds with fresh linens.
  • Replace pillowcases.
  • Dust and wipe down shelves and closets.
  • Prepare the room for inspection.
  • Ensure assigned areas are kept clean using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies.
  • Engage with guests and provide assistance whenever possible.

Qualifications

  • Effective verbal communication skills with team members and management; proficiency in English is required.
  • Able to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds and various levels of management.
  • Capable of using communication devices such as radios and mobile phones.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Exhibit a positive, service-oriented demeanor towards clients and colleagues.
  • Self-driven and focused on achieving results.
  • Commitment to the company's best interests.

Educational Background

  • A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Additional training in relevant fields is advantageous but not essential.

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and kneeling are typical.
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Facial hair and dyed hair are not permitted.
  • Normal hearing and vision are necessary for effective communication and task execution.

Job Functions

  • Understand and explain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for cleaning products.
  • Recognize product names and their intended uses.
  • Comprehend and communicate proper storage and usage guidelines.
  • Be familiar with emergency procedures related to cleaning products.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a hotel setting as a room attendant is required.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Work Schedule: Varies

Compensation: $23.00 per hour
