Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payments to vendors in a timely and accurate manner, maximizing cash flow and minimizing delays.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with vendors through regular communication and education on WakeMed's services and processes.
  • Resolve billing and payment discrepancies with vendors, working to minimize service charges and ensure timely payment.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient payment processing.
  • Stay up-to-date on vendor contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with WakeMed's policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • 4 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on accounts payable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in a related field preferred.

Work Environment:

This position is a full-time, Monday-Friday role with regular business hours. No weekends or call requirements are associated with this position.
