General Manager Job Description

At Team Car Care dba Jiffy Lube, we're seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Manager to lead our store team. As a key player in our organization, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our store, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service, resolving guest complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control, including ordering and receiving products, and ensure a high level of product knowledge.
  • Develop and implement sales forecasts, budgeting, and profit/loss performance strategies to drive business growth.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the store, including equipment, facilities, and grounds, ensuring a safe and clean environment for customers and employees.
  • Supervise and train store teammates, providing coaching, performance management, and performance appraisals to ensure high levels of performance.
  • Monitor staffing levels, adjust schedules as needed, and conduct Teammate Orientation meetings to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulations, including lockout/tag out procedures, MSDS, waste policy compliance, and OSHA/EPA resources.
  • Partner with the Loss Prevention Department to prevent theft, promote honesty and integrity, and report incidents of theft or cash shortages.
  • Assist at other locations as directed by management.
Requirements:
  • Strong work ethic, independently motivated to produce results with limited influence from others.
  • Ability to review, analyze, and interpret information, identify problems, and make decisions.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow procedures and guidelines.
  • Commitment to following established safety policies and procedures.
