Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on campus facilities, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on campus facilities, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Assist with event setup and teardown, including moving equipment and supplies.
  • Interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Operate manual and electrically powered tools and equipment, including lifts and aerial lifts.
  • Work in confined spaces and at heights, and lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus completion of a vocational/technical school or recognized apprenticeship program in general mechanical maintenance, electrician, or HVAC technician.
  • At least three years of experience in a maintenance or repair role, preferably in a commercial setting.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics, and operate manual and electrically powered tools and equipment.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
