Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Referral Specialist to join our team at Central Maine Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating patient referrals, ensuring seamless communication between providers, and facilitating efficient transfer of patients within our affiliate and non-affiliate hospitals and providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process patient referral data, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Facilitate communication between providers, patients, and families
  • Coordinate patient transfers, ensuring timely and safe transportation
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
  • EMT-1 or EMT-P license required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of EMS systems and critical care experience preferred
