As a Clinical Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for evaluating and processing medication orders for inpatients, outpatients, and staff, while maintaining accurate computerized medication profiles. You may work in either a centralized or decentralized pharmacy model, collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams as necessary. Your role will include monitoring patient medication therapies for safety and efficacy, providing drug information, and supervising support staff to ensure the efficient delivery of pharmacy services. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, you may need to assume their responsibilities and perform essential duties.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a current license to practice as a Pharmacist in the District of Columbia.
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution is required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting or completion of a pharmacy residency is preferred.
- Experience in sterile compounding is highly desirable.
- Current CPR certification is mandatory.
