Job Summary

The Oregon Fruit Company is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Quality Control Technicians. This key role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all food safety and quality programs, working closely with the Senior QA Manager and other departments to achieve our quality goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and supervision to Quality Control Technicians, ensuring they have the necessary tools and support to perform their duties effectively.
  • Assist the Senior QA Manager with external audits, ensuring our quality systems meet the highest standards.
  • Review and sign off on daily quality and HACCP paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain oversight of environmental testing programs, analyzing data in eBacMap to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Engage in pre-operational and in-process inspections, providing technical expertise and support to production teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Minimum one year of experience in quality systems management, including supervisory responsibilities, in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality standards, as well as laboratory methods and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions. Must be able to multitask and work under pressure, with occasional travel to other worksites for meetings and training.
