Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Phlebotomy Supervisor to oversee all activities and supervise a team of approximately 30 in-house Phlebotomy staff members. The successful candidate will work closely with the off-site Phlebotomist Supervisor to ensure the department is staffed and properly scheduled at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Phlebotomy team to ensure efficient and effective blood collection services.
- Work with the off-site Phlebotomist Supervisor to ensure proper staffing and scheduling of the department.
- Assist with payroll and corrective action of employees as needed.
- Maintain established department policies and procedures, objectives, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
Requirements:
- 5 years of management experience as a Phlebotomy Supervisor.
- 3 years of specialized training as a Histotech and fully proficient in all areas of Pathology.
- BS in Science and/or MBA.
- Certification as a HT (Histotech).
- Active MA Phlebotomist License.
Working Conditions:
The Phlebotomy Supervisor will work in a fast-paced laboratory environment and will be required to rotate onto weekends and holidays as assigned to ensure uniform quality of laboratory services.
