Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Host/Hostess at Upstream Brewing Company. As a Host/Hostess, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Welcome and Service: Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a memorable dining experience.
  • Seating and Table Management: Manage the flow of guests through the seating process, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Communication and Coordination: Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service.
  • Ambiance and Cleanliness: Maintain a neat and clean reception area and entryway, enhancing the overall ambiance of the restaurant.
  • Phone and Information Management: Answer phone calls and provide accurate information to guests regarding reservations, wait times, and menu inquiries.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed, such as taking to-go orders and managing the waiting list during peak times.
  • Quality and Safety: Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation throughout the restaurant.

Requirements:

  • Customer Service Experience: Prior experience in customer service required.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail and Organization: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Positive Attitude and Teamwork: Positive and friendly attitude, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Availability: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
