**About the Role:**
We're seeking an experienced Government Affairs Manager II to lead our state and local government relations in the western United States. The successful candidate will oversee engagement with key policymakers and stakeholders, driving strategic policy outcomes that support our business growth.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Build and maintain relationships with state and local policymakers and stakeholders.
- Educate policymakers on the value of Instacart's business to their constituents and the e-commerce landscape.
- Craft and execute legislative, regulatory, and political strategies to achieve state and local policy goals.
**Requirements:**
- 5+ years of state or local government, policy, or corporate government relations experience.
- Established policymaker relationships and confident interaction with elected officials and executives.
- Deep understanding of state and local lawmaking and regulatory processes.
**Salary:** The estimated salary for this role ranges from $149,000 to $200,000 USD, depending on the location. For US-based candidates, the base pay ranges are as follows: CA, NY, CT, NJ: $180,000 - $200,000 USD; WA: $173,000 - $192,000 USD; OR, DE, ME, MA, MD, NH, RI, VT, DC, PA, VA, CO, TX, IL, HI: $166,000 - $184,000 USD; All other states: $149,000 - $166,000 USD.
