Position Overview:

As a Senior Compensation Specialist at GEICO, you will oversee the management of base salary structures, job assessments, market compensation analysis, and salary framework administration. This role also involves assisting with year-end compensation processes. You will serve as a key link between the compensation team and various corporate business units, collaborating closely with the Compensation Business Partner for Corporate functions. This position offers a unique opportunity to creatively lead, develop, analyze, and propose innovative compensation strategies to effectively address organizational challenges. Your contributions will be essential in maintaining internal equity, ensuring external competitiveness, and adhering to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate and present comprehensive reports detailing job analysis and compensation metrics.
  • Compile survey submissions, collect market-based compensation data, and analyze findings using advanced data analysis techniques.
  • Assist the Compensation Business Partner for corporate functions with job evaluations, external offers, salary assessments, and other business needs.
  • Act as a project coordinator for initiatives such as salary schedule evaluations, managing change controls, and timelines.
  • Conduct job benchmarking against market data to define competitive compensation ranges.
  • Provide expert guidance to HR Business Partners and management regarding salary administration, pay regulations, and compensation policies.
  • Strategize and execute thorough job and compensation reviews.
  • Recommend job architecture frameworks and profiles to align with departmental objectives.
  • Ensure accurate job descriptions and evaluate job classifications and salary ranges.
  • Engage with senior business leaders on various compensation issues while effectively managing multiple tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in compensation analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Mathematics, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Prior experience with Workday HCM and Advanced Compensation is preferred.
  • Requirements:
  • Adherence to GEICO's Code of Conduct and company policies.
  • Ability to meet attendance standards and collaborate effectively with colleagues and management.

Annual Salary:

$72,000 - $138,000

The annual salary range is provided as a general reference and is determined based on various factors such as role scope, candidate's qualifications, experience, location, and market trends.
