Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Planning
    • Develop comprehensive RFPs and analyze multiple quotes to identify best value opportunities.
    • Negotiate and finalize agreements with vendors, ensuring compliance with contract specifications and bills of material.
    • Manage procurement planning and implementation on major projects and programs, including post-award procurement planning and implementation.
  • Market Intelligence
    • Capture and communicate market intelligence across projects and programs, including pricing trends, lead times, and logistical requirements.
    • Evaluate and incorporate current market conditions into procurement plans, including best value opportunities and alternative products.
  • Contract Management
    • Read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
    • Travel to project sites, manufacturers, and vendors as needed to ensure effective procurement management.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 9 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
    • Relevant purchasing experience sourcing, negotiating contracts with Original Equipment Manufacturers, construction/specialty trade subcontractors, and fabricators.
    • Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
    • Familiarity with accounting principles.
