Position Overview: As a Branch Operations Leader, you will primarily oversee the daily operations of crews and equipment within the designated area, including on-site employee training to support our clients, while also directing the daily functions of a branch.
The Role: We seek an operational leader with strong financial insight, comfortable engaging with clients, and capable of balancing corporate needs with customer requests and local resource availability. This role is designed as a working manager position, involving hands-on traffic management and operations at job sites. Responsibilities include overseeing branch productivity, shop activities, customer relations, coordinating with estimating departments regarding capacity and production plans, and liaising with accounting on revenue recognition and reporting. You will be accountable for all branch operations, encompassing safety, staffing, production, inventory, revenue, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage crews and equipment in remote locations to meet and exceed client expectations.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, professionally interacting with municipalities and clients as a representative of RoadSafe, including managing project notifications and securing necessary permits.
- Demonstrate problem-solving abilities and exercise independent judgment effectively.
- Develop employee schedules and oversee personnel on projects, ensuring timely completion of paperwork.
- Assess project labor needs and coordinate external labor requirements.
- Plan and schedule projects efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Evaluate employee capabilities and contribute to hiring and termination decisions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and training requirements, including DOT compliance.
- Understand the demands of this management position, which may require being on call 24/7, including evenings, weekends, and extended workdays to meet project deadlines.
- Request material purchases as needed.
- Maintain a reporting system for production to accounting for billing purposes.
- Prepare and maintain the Weekly Revenue Forecast Report.
- Travel as required for operational needs.

- Understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in traffic management and safety, including crew work and formal industry training.
- At least 8 years of supervisory or management experience.
