Job Summary

We are seeking an Active Part Assembler to join our team at Siemens Energy. As an Active Part Assembler, you will be responsible for performing the assembly of the active part of the transformer and the necessary connections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform the assembly of the active part of the transformers, including coils, angle rings, cylinders, etc.
  • Carry out the assembly of the frames for fixing cables and busbars according to the drawings.
  • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and perform welding when necessary.
  • Perform final inspections and quality checks in accordance with technical requirements and standards.
  • Support in developing and maintaining the documentation of technical instructions for the active part assembly procedures.
  • Train and mentor new hires into the department.
  • Plan and review tasks to be carried out according to the pre-established production plan and manufacturing standards.
Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent with relevant technical training/experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the winding block assembly process for transformers.
  • Ability to obtain Keys certification test on reading and writing and Blueprint reading test offered by local community college.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Forklift License and a Critical Lift level crane license and certification for working in heights.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and/or written instructions in English.
  • Must be local to Charlotte, NC or willing to relocate.
  • Must be willing to relocate temporarily to Mexico or Brazil for on-the-job training for a period of 3 months or more based on the proficiency in the area of training.
