Role Summary
The Culinary Events Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating culinary operations for events and banquets. This position ensures that all food preparation adheres to high standards of quality and presentation while managing kitchen personnel, inventory, and sanitation practices.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Supervision:
  • Direct and oversee kitchen staff during events, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Train and guide kitchen personnel on food preparation methods, safety protocols, and company guidelines.
  • Manage staff schedules and labor costs effectively.
Food Preparation & Presentation:
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes for events, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design menus and modify recipes based on client needs and dietary requirements.
Inventory Management:
  • Maintain inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and storing supplies.
  • Conduct regular inventory assessments to minimize waste and manage costs.
  • Ensure proper storage and efficient use of all food and kitchen supplies.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
  • Uphold high standards of food safety and sanitation, complying with health regulations and company policies.
  • Perform regular inspections of kitchen equipment and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Customer Service:
  • Address any concerns related to food quality or service in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Work closely with event planners to ensure client specifications and expectations are met.
Administrative Tasks:
  • Prepare and maintain reports related to kitchen operations, including staff performance and inventory levels.
  • Assist in budgeting and cost control for event operations.
Essential Skills
  • Effective verbal communication with guests and team members.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
  • Supervise daily operations of banquet services.
  • Prepare food items according to standard recipes.
  • Inspect and sample food for taste, color, and presentation.
  • Maintain kitchen inventory and ensure product freshness.
  • Complete daily tasks including checklists and special projects.
  • Communicate with management regarding kitchen operations and concerns.
  • Foster positive relationships with management and kitchen staff.
  • Practice and enforce proper hygiene and safety standards during food preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations among kitchen staff.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
